Frequently asked

Straight answers to the questions we get most.

If you don't see your question, call us or send a note — we answer ourselves.

What geographic area do you serve?+

Our crews operate across Connecticut, New York (including the five boroughs and Westchester), New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Multi-state programs are coordinated from our Monroe, CT office.

How quickly can you respond to a request?+

Most on-site walkthroughs are scheduled within 48 business hours. Emergency response (post-fire, post-flood, urgent lease return) is available 24/7 — call (203) 260-5259.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?+

Yes. County Asset Solutions LLC carries $2M general liability, full auto, workers' compensation, and pollution liability where applicable. Certificates of insurance are issued on request, typically within four business hours.

Do you provide certified data destruction?+

Yes. Our IT asset disposition program is NAID-aligned, with on-site or off-site shredding for drives, with a serialized chain-of-custody report and a certificate of destruction.

Will you remove branded signage and refinish the surface?+

Yes — signage removal, adhesive remediation, and surface refinishing are standard line items on most of our decommission proposals.

How do you handle assets you can resell on our behalf?+

We tag, inventory, photograph, and grade resale-quality assets, then route them through our wholesale and broker network. You receive net-proceeds reporting with full chain of custody.

What does a typical engagement cost?+

Office decommissions are typically priced per square foot, scaled to asset density. Liquidations are most often structured with a base mobilization fee plus a percentage of recovered value. Every proposal is itemized.

Do you provide a closeout report?+

Yes — every engagement closes with a binder (digital + printed on request) that includes before/after photos, weight tickets, recycling certificates, donation receipts, and a final reconciliation suitable for finance, audit, and ESG reporting.

Do you work directly with landlords and property managers?+

Frequently. We've worked alongside most major property managers in the tri-state area. Direct coordination is included at no additional cost on decommission engagements.

Can you handle multi-site rollouts?+

Yes. We've executed multi-state programs of 40+ sites with a single program coordinator. Standardized reporting and tagging is maintained across the entire rollout.

What happens to items you cannot resell?+

Items are routed through our donation and certified recycling streams. Donation receipts go to your tax counsel; recycling certificates go into the closeout binder.

Do you provide appraisals separately from disposition work?+

Yes. Fixed-asset appraisals for insurance, lending, M&A, and audit purposes are a standalone practice. Reports are USPAP-aligned and delivered with full workpapers.

Can you work after-hours or on weekends?+

Yes, and we frequently do — particularly in shared-tenant buildings where daytime work disrupts neighbors. After-hours premiums are disclosed in the proposal.

Do you handle hazardous materials?+

We do not transport regulated hazardous waste directly. We coordinate with licensed hazmat partners and incorporate their work into the engagement when needed.

How do I request a proposal?+

Use the Request a Quote page, email bing@countyassetsolutions.com, or call (203) 260-5259. Be ready to share the address, square footage, asset categories, and your target surrender or close date.
